Many, many thanks  for nominating ‘Catching My Drift’ for the Versatile Blogger Award (https://versatilebloggeraward.wordpress.com/about/) to Anand at Blabberwockying (https://blabberwockying.wordpress.com/)

Blabberwockying is intelligent, thoughtful, and very, very welcoming to all of its visitors and their voices. You’ll enjoy stopping there.

I am lucky enough to have connected with many ‘versatile bloggers’ in the blogosphere, and here are just a few I strongly recommend:

Dr. Cathy Cheng’s Healing Through Connection (http://catherinechengmd.com/)

Nancy Faerber’s Practically Wise (https://practicallywise.wordpress.com/)

Doodelmum (http://doodlemum.com/)

Jodi’s Life In Between (http://lifeinbetween.me/)

Kristi Jo’s That’s Another Story (https://kristijojedlickiblog.wordpress.com/)

Radhika at http://radhikamukherjee.com/

Luanne at http://writersite.org/

and Taking it a Step at a Time (https://takestep.wordpress.com/)

…along with the other wonderful blogs I am lucky enough to follow and be enriched by! I have them listed on my site; I hope you’ll scroll through, and make some visits, when time allows.

******

The rules of this award ask for me to tell Anand ‘seven things’…so…

  1. Growing up, I was one of a family of SEVEN.
  2. I was born in the SEVENTH month.
  3. I have taught at SEVEN colleges as an adjunct faculty member.
  4. Of the SEVEN days of the week, my favorite time is early Sunday morning.
  5. I have never seen even one of the SEVEN ancient wonders of the world (but I have been to Niagara Falls many times).
  6. My favorite card game as a child was 500 Rummy, in which I was dealt SEVEN cards.
  7. I loved all SEVEN of the Chronicles of Narnia, but was unprepared for the ending…

  1. Hello Pam 🙂

Thanks for accepting this award and kind words of mention.

I have a suggestion for you. When you do award posts–please use a particular post’s URL from the fellow bloggers you are mentioning, instead of the blog URL.

    What do I mean?

    For example:

If I were to mention you in my post–instead of using
pamkirstblog.wordpress.com/ [ Blog URL–I have not used http because comment with multiple links is marked as a spam!]

    I will use this URL

    https://pamkirstblog.wordpress.com/2015/09/21/the-versatile-blogger-award/

    [ A post URL ]

    How does this help?

It creates a ping back to a particular post, thereby, notifying the blogger of your post automatically. In case of general blog URL it doesn’t happen.

For example–the bloggers you have mentioned here might have missed this post–like I did. But in case of the ping-back it becomes very easy. I hope it’s easy explanation. Please let me know if I am not clear 🙂 🙂

I like the 7 facts you present here. I wonder if Niagra Falls is amongst wonders.

So you are a Cancer sun-sign? What is your exact date of birth? July 7th?

    Have a lovely Saturday.

    Love and light ❤

    Anand 🙂

      1. That’s interesting Pam. If you ever start trusting me enough, I will do a horoscope reading for you as I do some independent research Vedic Astrology. Till then I will wait 🙂

        Love ❤
        Anand 🙂

      2. Anand, I would love to have you do a reading. (I trust you implicitly from your interactions and writings!) How would we go about that? This would be an amazing chance for insight–thanks so much for offering.

        Pam

      3. Oh, I am honored by your kind words Pam. You have my mail ID. I would need your date/time/place of birth, as accurate as possible. I will share my observations with you online 🙂 It’s not accurate Science but about 65-70% observations do turn out to be correct 🙂 🙂
        Anand

      4. Wonderful! I have to check the time at home (I should know that, eh?) Kind of unrelated, but interesting, I found that most of my students over the years had no idea what day of the week they were born on. Not sure it makes a difference, but it seems like something people might want to know about themselves!

      5. I will be able to tell the day of week and many more things if you could tell me time/date/place. If time is not known, then also a few things can be told, though better and more accurate than without 🙂

  2. Congratulations, Pam! And thank you for including my blog! This was a rough week..2nd on the new job and I managed to go & get myself sick with one of the bugs that are making the rounds; still a bit under the weather, in fact. Your kind mention Practically Wise has definitely been a much-needed bright spot! And speaking of which, hope you can enjoy the supermoon & total lunar eclipse combo tonite! 🙂

    1. I hope the clouds clear ( guess that’s a metaphor, too! ) so we can see the super moon in its full glory! And I hope you are feeling better, and the folks at the new job prove kind and understanding!
