To honor Free Spirit’s request, here’s a little bit about me:

I think I may be the Old Lady of our blogging community (although I have a blogging buddy, with a marvelous blog, who is in her late eighties—she’s an inspiration and gives me hope that I may be blogging yet for years to come.) I taught English for many, many years, and my writing energies were put to good use (I think) in teaching first middle schoolers, then college students, about writing and literature. I hope I shared my love for the language!

When I moved from the classroom to management, I found I had the time in the evening to think about blogging. And so, fearfully, because I am certainly no techno-wizard, I started a WordPress blog. It was one of the smartest things I’ve ever done—the discipline and the fellowship are absolutely incredible. I’ve had more fun, and met more interesting people, in the 18 months I’ve been blogging.
