Once upon a time, a bold blogging knight accepted a quest to create a community of bloggers. That daring blogger was Vibrant at https://blabberwockying.wordpress.com/2015/12/07/dragons-loyalty-award/
Working in a trusted fellowship, Vibrant carved out a space in the blogosphere for those who want to help and encourage each other, to read and follow, to laugh together and to share sorrows and trials, too. Vibrant helps to slay the dragon of disconnection, and each time he posts, he slays dragons of discord and indifference. For a rousing adventure, you must visit Blabberwockying!
And I must thank Sir Vibrant for gifting me with the Dragon’s Loyalty Award for Bloggers.

Here are six bold bloggers I’ve recently met; I like what I’ve read so far, and very much look forward to reading more! I encourage you to visit, too…

And, finally, (hmmm…) seven interesting things about me…
1. I’ve watched Gandalf, Bilbo, and company bring about the defeat of Smaug twice. (I enjoy the movies even though they deviated from the book…)
2. I read Anne McCaffrey’s Dragon Riders series as a young bookstore clerk, and really enjoyed them. Lately I’ve been thinking about re-visiting those books, and exploring the new episodes that McCaffrey and her son have created since.
3. I have only watched the first season of Game of Thrones. I know dragons are coming, but please don’t tell me any more just yet; I will be catching up!
4. My son loved the Disney film Pete’s Dragon when he was young. I still hear Shelly Winters calling for Petey in my memory-mind.
5. I struggle with the question of loyalty and honesty: when does a loyal friend keep mum, and when does she tell the bald and frightening truth?
6. Tomorrow, I will meet a friend met in Grade Five, and we will celebrate her 60th birthday. We live 300 miles apart and will meet in the middle. Sandee is as loyal and as strong as a dragon, and her friendship has been a blessing for fifty years!
7. Oh-I just remembered another ‘dragon’ book by a favorite author from back about the time I met Sandee (seems I have been literarily steeped in dragon lore!) This one’s by Madeleine L’Engle:
Why, thank you kindly, Pam, for the nomination! Funny, while you were posting this, I was watching Star Wars–the original. Not a dragon story, I know, but a classic epic journey nonetheless. Now, onto our respective quests, wherever they may lead. . .
I like that whole idea of the Hero’s Journey! Have you seen the new Star Wars yet? My son is terribly worried that Luke might go over to the Dark Side!
My boyfriend’s the one who got me watching it just now. He wants to re-watch all current Star Wars movies before seeing the new one. Hmm, I wonder if your son’s onto something. I for one, have no clue. But I’m a fan of hero’s journey, too!
Thank very much for the beautiful award. What an honor, I will start working on this right away,
It’s a pleasure to pass this on!
Oh my my, what an uplifting introduction for this award with a strange title. It’s a strange title isn’t it? You are certainly a knight, a guide and a guru dear Pam. Thank you so much for all the kindness, help and guidance and congratulations for the award.
I have also not seen Game of Thrones but heard there are dragons, neither have I watched “how to train your dragons” film, 🙂
Please wish a very happy birthday to your Sandy on my behalf 🙂
Love and light ❤
Anand 🙂
I had forgotten about the ‘How to Train Your Dragon’–that was a very big deal. I didn’t see it either! It IS a strange title; wonder how it originated… If I find anything out about that, I will share it with you. Love and light back to you, my friend!
Pam
Yes sure, Pam. Thank you so much 🙂
Anand
I am humbled Pam. Stay happy and blessed.
Hahaha… award for your blog.
Thank you for nomination – I’m very chuffed 😊 have a lovely day x
Thank you, Pam, for sharing these bloggers with us! And thank you, Anand for inspiring such a fun post! 😄 looking forward to reading more! And our family also suspects Luke succumbed… 😞
Congrats, Pam! Definitely catch up with Game of Thrones (if you can stand the emphasis on naked women). Such a great fantasy series!
Yes, kind of a boy’s dream in many spots, isn’t it? But the story line is so compelling….
Exactamento.
